Bursaries

ISAM offers bursaries to participate in the ISAM2021 Global Congress and contribute their research to the global discussion surrounding addiction medicine. These bursaries are available to members of the international addiction medicine community who meet the following criteria:
- Affiliation with organization(s) with experience in or potential to contribute to addiction medicine research, teaching and/or treatment
- Involvement in research, and/or clinical and teaching activities in the field of addiction medicine
- Demonstrates a commitment towards future research and clinical practice in relation to addiction medicine
- Willingness to present their research at the ISAM2021 Global Congress
ISAM2021 Global Congress Registration Bursaries
Registration bursaries are available to cover the registration costs of those looking to contribute their research to the ISAM2021 Global Congress program. In addition to the requirements listed above, all applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the ISAM2021 Registration Bursary:
- Must not have received a prior ISAM-related grant for travel support
- Must have a valid license to practice in the field of addiction medicine

NIDA-ISAM 2021 Registration Bursaries for Young Investigators
ISAM and the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) offer up to four bursaries covering registration costs for young investigators who are interested in presenting their research at the ISAM 2021 Congress. In addition to the requirements listed at the top of this page, all applicants must meet the following criteria in order to retain eligibility:
- Must have sufficient knowledge to present their research in English
- Must not have received a prior NIDA-ISAM-related grant for travel support
Applicants must be 45 years old or younger
